On the bright side, I’ll be able to save battery life on my iphone by turning off the gps. The downside of course being that the gps is increadibly useful.

Getting lost in Georgetown because their TomTom stops working is about the least of anyone’s problems. Our smart bombs — joint direct attack munitions (JDAM) — are “smart” because they are GPS-guided.
I’m not sure if this is typical USAF budget shennanigans or not, though.
