   I have never heard “tube meat” used in this way.     I thought the usual term was *vat* meat… vat-steak, vat-chicken, etc.

   My favorite example, of course, is Larry Niven’s Kzin race agreeing to only eat vat-human.
   PETA supporting vat grown meat for human consumption is paradoxically both obvious and unbelievable.
