Palin vs. Obama

Sarah will slam Barack Obama in her address tonight. An excerpt:
“I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a ‘community organizer,’ except that you have actual responsibilities.”
(CNN)
Ouch. Yesterday, Obama attacked her experience as inferior to his own.

Zog Gets a Second

Perhaps those Zogby numbers weren’t so crazy after all.  CNN confirms the erasure of the Obama lead on an apparent Sarah Palin bounce.

It’s Palin

CNN and Foxnews are reporting. Pretty surprising to me, but a pleasant surprise.
Discussion topic: I am hearing from Obama supporters that she’s a bad pick because she’s inexperienced. Is this an actual argument Obama wants to make? Does this preclude McCain from attacking Obama’s inexpience? Does the fact that Palin has over 100 times more [...]

Biden Blues

A majority of voters approve of Obama’s selection of Joe Biden in CNN’s first poll after the tap. Unfortunately for Obama and his new Veep, the choice appears to have further angered and alienated Hillary’s sad little village. Thus, Obama has dropped into a 47-47 tie with John McCain.
For her own political future, Hillary has [...]

Recent History - Republic of Georgia

I’m doing this for my own benefit, as I’ve not followed the goings on in the Republic of Georgia, except to note when it’s in the news, not our Georgia.

Georgia sought the backing of NATO and the European Union on Friday after Russia stepped up pressure by announcing intensified ties with two separatist [...]

A Bombshell in Baghdad

Video (transcript) of Angelina Jolie’s CNN interview from Baghdad on the Iraqi refugee crisis. In the UN’s often ridiculous efforts to hire Hollywood nonentities to promote various causes, Angelina was probably their wisest. Men generally rule the troublespots of the world, and what man would refuse to meet with Angelina? Indeed, it looks like even [...]

Obama Goes National

Barack Obama launches the first nation-wide television advertising campaign (cable tv spot on CNN and MSNBC). Team Hillary is upset about the violation to the DNC Florida campaigning boycott. She’s probably more upset by how strong this ad is.
