		<description>We&#039;re doing an interesting book study at church, &quot;Where is God When it Hurts?&quot; by Philip Yancy.  In the first part of the book he makes the point that our society has gone out of it&#039;s way to eliminate pain and suffering as much as possible.  We have a headache, we grab an aspirin.

A Nobel laureate stated that at 87, he had never seen a person die, nor had he seen a birth.

I think by doing this we alienate ourselves somewhat from the &#039;typical&#039; human experience.

And double thumbs up to what you&#039;ve quoted Synova.  Some very good points there.</description>
