		<description>I couldn&#039;t be in more agreement Myrna. We in the middle-class do tend to be governed by those who can&#039;t get a job, or those who never had to. And you&#039;re right, it&#039;s a rather unrepresentative state of affairs really. 

But disappointed as I am to hear of your resignation, I commend your reasons for doing so all the same. Looks to me like you&#039;ve taken the reward of wisdom from the experience.</description>

Disappointingly I had to stand down from the town council mainly due to financial constraints. We are living in an economic downturn and I had to make the agonising decision to put my daughter first and keep a roof over our heads. 
Only the elite, wealthy, retired or unemployed can be a town councillor OR if you have someone else paying your bills. So it does beg the question... Are we really living in a democratic society?</description>
