		<description>You&#039;ll have to pardon my naiveté, Lance, but I&#039;ve yet to sucker anyone into explaining to me why these mortgage securities cannot be re-tranched by the government. Now that the government owns all of the Fannie/Freddie mortgages, couldn&#039;t Treasury simply promise to exchange upon presentation these securities with re-issued contracts that have had the sh*tty paper within them replaced with good (or at least better) paper?</description>
