I have seen a few articles that say something like – if the left dislikes McCan-Palin so much they must be doing something right. Here is a similar argument about views from the Muslim world. “whenever your taqiyya-practicing enemy tries to give you “advice” — such as who or who not to vote for — do
the opposite”.

This is definitely one way to look at it, and yes using reverse psychology is an option. But think about it. Iran and their allies are just sitting there waiting for us to “pull the trigger” so that they can say to the world “Americans were the aggressors.”
McCain has all but said he is keeping a zero tolerance policy regarding the Middle East and Russia, which at least is an actual stance unlike the Obama camp who have said nothing of any value thus far.
However talk is cheap, especially if Iran and Russia are selectively listening. China and N. Korean relations are better than they have been in 60 years, but that relationship currently is on a very slippery slope, especially where Russia is concerned. If the US screws those relationships up with aggressive tactics against Russia, are we really prepared to go on a 4 front defensive? I don’t think so. 3.5 billion angry Easterners is not a good thing.
Whomever gets in better start with calming the climbing hostilities with Russia. Russia holds too much sway with China and NK. Calming Russia keeps the relations with China and NK on the upswing. Keeping the other players in our little global domination game on the table is far more important the cockroaches in the Middle East. They better think, and choose their words very carefully before acting.
I’d rather have Russia, China and a United Korea in my pocket so that we can do what needs to be done with the Middle East. Which I’m still not sure if turning the place to glass isn’t the best plan.
