An Encounter With Political Sexism

How many children does John McCain have? It’s seven including adoptions, but very few seem to know that. Easier question: how many children does Sarah Palin have? Five and I bet you knew that instantly. Welcome to sexism says liberal feminist Linda Keenan, in a profound and important confessional apology to Sarah.

Very interesting.  I wonder if this is a crack in the dike of leftism?  They have been pretty impervious to rational ideas so far.

I knew both numbers; I joked with my family that the Secret Service was going to be massively overworked with 12 kids to look after in addition to the nominees and their spouses.

To be fair… people pretty uniformly feel sorry for children still at home when their dad is president.   We all pretty much always know how many school age children candidates have.
Certainly we all knew that Bush had two (not quite still at home) and we all know that Obama has two little girls.     I think that’s why we didn’t know how many McCain has and don’t care how many Biden has.

(Though with Palin I think there’s a certain element of reflexive horror at reproduction itself.   Trust me on this…  I saw it first hand when ever I told anyone I was on my third pregnancy when asked if it was my first.)
