It would seem the innuendo campaign alleging the illegitimacy of Sarah Palin’s son Trig, inadvertantly uncovered a real family tragedy to media attention. As Jay Tea points out, the circumstances of that situation make it physically impossible for the campaign of whispers to have been true. Don’t wait for any apologies from the whisperers however.

I doubt that the Palin family would use the term “tragedy.”
I know it’s hard for some people to understand but for a great many people a baby is never a tragedy. A baby may be a challenge and everyone involved may sort of wish the timing was different… but they don’t view a baby as a tragedy and they don’t wish the baby hadn’t happened.
People who do, go do stuff like get abortions.
Probably true, however I doubt seriously they counseled their daughter to get pregnant out of wedlock while still in high school either.
Call it a ‘stressful unexpected event’ if you prefer.
I like that one.
I’ve not counseled my daughters to get pregnant out of wedlock either, but I have made clear that any grandchild will be loved and welcomed.
