David Bernstein puts to rest the whisper that Palin was a clandestine Buchananite. She supported Steve Forbes in 1999 (as un-Buchanan as you can get), and evidently the only source for the alleged 1995 support, is a vague recollection from Pat Buchanan himself. As it seemed like the links between Palin and Buchanan were pretty weak to begin with, I am, glad to know that she is not an acolyte of his. She is still too socially conservative for my tastes, but I will likely still be voting the ticket come November.
