“very rapidly going to get disgusted with the cynical negative nastiness of politics as usual.”

You mean we’re not already? I thought that “cynical negative nastiness” was all that elections were. Who can market the cynical negative nastiness best wins these elections.

When I was younger Newt bugged me. I thought he came off as a pretentious bastard, now i find myself agreeing with many things he says. Probably because I have my pretentious bastard moments. Kindred spirit? Well maybe not.

Newt is an astute observer and thinker.  Like most of us, he has mellowed and not the “pretentious bastard” he may have been.
