I do not have doubts that if Palin was in a position to make a quick/serious/button pushing military or social decision, she would and could. No president is without advisors, liberal and conservative, even in an emergency/catastrophic time. She may seem “the softy sales pitch” beast, but to be as beastly as men have proven to be, she could. Most of our politicians have proven lack of stamina with many incorrect or questionable decisions. Most have fallen to greed. Obama’s personality is far more prone to set a precedent of power over everything else. You can talk the talk, but where you’re most likely to walk, is another story. Palin and McCain will truly attempt to make the government accountable, which in the end is more crucial than pacifying the system users. The democratic logic is to have more government supplying the people’s needs instead of flowing with the needs. A cleaner/honest government is much higher a priority for longer term sanity of the nation. In four years Obama’s government will have more graft, influence saturated, unqualified crony infiltrations and be shaking hands with more devils-world and special interest groups). Yes, many of the dilapidated neighborhoods will have fancier community organizer building frontages and new furniture (compliments of the heavy new tax burdens-which will NOT just be those “less than $250,000 small businesses). The crime will still be equal (about the only equality outcome of the chosen one’s regime) and government process will still be “business as usual” with no MAJOR goal in place to bring government waste and abuse to its knees.
Human nature dictates a percentage of chance in decision making. That is what is propelling and fueling Obama’s magician appearance. Like little kids, magic is exciting for the moment. Might even make one think they can fly with magic! I wonder how many of Obama’s supporters/dreamers would think of flying, say from a thirteen story building?
NOTE: comments and jokes about McCain’s arm/body movements have been slung about. I challenge any reader to go years in torture, arms tied behind their back and then hung from the arms in that position for hours/days. His shoulder blades were dislocated many times, hands/arms were broken/smashed with pipes (reason he can’t lift his arms). I think any of us would have bouncing nerve endings and muscle/joint controls with much less torture.
Those that don’t think of serving society in any way, accept their own needs, cannot relate. Yes, many have suffered by history’s horrors. This is all the more reason to relate to a leader of reality, than one of ego and hidden agendas.
