It looks like the new football coaching regime at my beloved Huskers might not be off to such a swell start. Gifted offensive coordinator Shawn Watson is possibly interviewing with Saban at Alabama, only a month after he was rehired by new head coach Bo Pelini. The appointment of Barney Cotton –a previously unemployed oddity– to assistant head coach (with an apparent oversight role on the offense), might not have been so wise, given that Cotton has no experience or knowledge of the West Coast Offense Watson runs. There’s nothing worse than answering to a quasi-boss who has no idea what you’re even talking about. When we hired Bo from LSU, our raving Tiger Lance said to me about the highly skilled former defensive coordinator “as a manager…I don’t know.” I hope this isn’t the path to knowing. GBR.

I’d like to see neb become dominant again, cause im not sure if kansas and mizzou have the staying power to bring prestige back to the north. I’ve heard Saban is a real asshole to his coaches. that being a reason major applewhite left the OC position there at bama to become UT’s rb coach. (also because he loves texas, but then, who doesnt?)
Saban is a real asshole period!
heh, yeah he is. But he can coach, and recruit.
On second thought, Bo might be a better at retaining staff than feared. Saban offered Watson $400,000+ to get on the plane for Bama. Watson declined.
I found this video about A Second Hand Conjecture » Trouble in Lincoln quite different than ones that I found before. Do you have any more? Thanks
