Yeah, its from Frank J. That is his schtick. He is glorying in dumb and shallow. Glenn Reynolds puts puppies in a blender, etc. Some PETA types find that offensive as it makes fun of their sensitivity on the topic (even if unintentionally.) Putting puppies in a blender just isn't funny man!

Maybe not, but pardon me for not giving it any moral weight either, kind of like here:

I’m also okay with being a stick in the mud when the country is cruelly raising animals in brutal conditions, testing chemicals on their eyes and flaying the skin from their bodies and wearing them, while people hype a gun nut law professor’s joy in dropping man's best friend into the domestic household's version of a plastic shredder.

Actually, my PETA guy has a better point.

The Fred Thompson facts predate any Mike Huckabee commercial by a few months. It’s not like the Thompson campaign is even involved or behind this video though.

No, not like that. I guess I don’t see the wit in this, since it’s just copying Mike Huckabee’s far more effective use of the real Chuck Norris. It’s just… I dunno, really dumb and shallow. Maybe that’s the point, though, given how the election is shaping up.

I don’t care if you find it funny Joshua. I just don’t get your interpretation of it, and thus that something unfunny bothers you. To attach to it some kind of dark meaning, as if the earth being scared of Thompson means people are hyping his ability to pave over the earth. That makes as much sense as your observation earlier.

I guess the Nietszche, Kant campaign video I posted earlier means deep down I am celebrating humorously my real “Will to Power.” Whether one found that funny or not, it certainly doesn’t imply that people who watch it are really Nietzsche fans.

If we can’t make fun of him, the other candidates, and the general views some people have about what being a conservative is (that being some conservatives and many liberals) while poking fun at oneself, well, the world is getting a little too prickly.

Hahaha, copying a more successful candidate’s commercials and looking to actors for tips on how to run the country and joking about ushering in tyranny is like TOTALLY awesome and makes me want to vote for him!
