Here we are in September, and the Democrats have yet to pass a budget onto the President, who is likely to veto anything too outrageous (I know, where was his sense of decorum before the 2006 elections?)

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) on Wednesday said it would be “unrealistic” to expect Congress to pass 12 appropriations bills by the end-of-September deadline.
“We hope to pass all 12, but we are obviously late, because the Senate has not passed 11 of their 12,” Hoyer said in a briefing with reporters. He praised the House’s ability to pass all of its appropriations bills before the August recess.
Congress is supposed to pass appropriations legislation to provide funding for the various departments of the government, including the Departments of Defense, Justice, Labor, Education, State and others. The deadline is the end of September because the fiscal year begins Oct. 1.
They even went on vacation in August without taking care of this vitally important business.
They must not be serious about leading this country out of the imperiled state of the union which they describe in their speeches.
They remind me of students who put off the important work, say a term paper, or class project, until the last minute, so they can party, or otherwise do what is important to them.
Here is what the Democrats listed as their priorities:
1) Honest Leadership and Open Government
2) Real Security
3) Energy Independence
4) Economic Prosperity and Educational Excellence
5) A Healthcare System that Works for Everyone
6) Secure Retirement
They’ve done piss-poor by any measure, failing to meet these benchmarks, and often offer up the excuse, (para-phrased) the Republicans aren’t rubber-stamping our progressive changes.
So, when will the Democrat’s offer their plan for withdrawing from Congress???
Heh. Now that’s funny, I don’t care who ya’are.
Next November?
